Notice of Public Hearing for Minor Variance Application

In the matter of Section 45 of the Planning Act, the Town of Petawawa Committee of Adjustment hereby gives notice of a public hearing for minor variance application A1/25.

Subject Lands         5 Charette Trail, Part Lot 2, Concession 8, in the Town of Petawawa, as shown on te attached Key Map.

Public Meeting         A public meeting to inform the public of an application for a minor variance will be held on October 06, 2025 at 5:45pm at the Silver Threads Seniors Centre, 1163 Victoria Street, Petawawa.

Requested Minor Variance

The purpose of the application is to seek relief from the following provisions of Zoning By-Law 456/07:

  • 3.3.11 Maximum Lot Coverage for Accessory Structures in a Residential Zone (from 112 square metres to 158 square metres)
  • 3.3.5 Maximum Height for Accessory Structures in a Residential Zone (from 5.0 metres to 5.4 metres)

If granted, the variance will permit the construction of a two-storey detached garage.  

Additional information regarding the minor variance application is now available for inspection at the Town of Petawawa Municipal Office during regular office hours.
